Exhibition of prints on glass, waxcasts 14.3. - 29.4.2011
The recent work of Axel T Schmidt within the cyclus DIE HERDE deals with the fact, that glaciers are melting and that things, then hidden inside are produced. Schmidt adopts this processs when filling hot wax into prepared icecaves. After stiffening, the ice melts away and the created figurations lie open. The moment of interacting materials is captured and put on glass. Water and wax are to be used again.
During the opening of the exhibition, March 13th 2011 from 11 am until 3 pm Schmidt will waxcast DIE HERDE lost form 13032011.
