Exhibition of jewellery and objects 4.11. - 2.12.2009
The exhibition’s title - “The city twinkles from the darkness” - is taken from a line of a poem by Hortensie Hustolesova. The collection of silver patinated brooches, which Lada Vosejpkova has prepared for her exhibition in Gallery KusKovu (Piece of Metal), is inspired by her work and parts of Hortesie’s poems are incorporated into the jewellery.
Lada Vosejpkova is also introducing her latest jewellery that include patinated silver and silver in raw or hewn stones. The exhibition also includes earlier pieces featuring bones, horns, feathers and coconut shells.
Objects in the exhibition include silver bowls and little decorated items made from silver and stones – many with fossilized wood.
In recent times Lada Vosejpkova has experimented with glass and its relationship with her favourite metal – silver. The results can be seen at the Gallery KusKovu exhibition.
